Taste of Tahini (sesame seed spread)

Tahini is one of those super foods that is both incredibly versatile and nutritious – it’s a good source of calcium, iron and dietary fibre. All you need to turn it into a spread or dip are the following:
1 cup of Tahini. You can find Tahini in any organic store or the health food section of your local supermarket. Be sure to read the labels for additives and preservatives you cannot pronounce.
3 cloves of garlic (optional)
1 large lemon

Crush the garlic cloves. Beat the tahini while gradually adding the lemon and then add water until your preferred texture. Most prefer it thick when used as a spread, and looser when used as a salad dressing or a dip.
