Broccoli, along with vegetables such as cauliflower, collard greens, Brussels sprouts, cabbage is a member of the cruciferous vegetable family. Some of the vitamins we get from Broccoli include vitamin C and vitamin K. It is also a good source of vitamin A, folate and potassium. 2 ripe avocados, diced
¾ cup raw broccoli pieces (no stems) – very finely chopped
1 tomato, diced
¼ cup red onion, minced
1 garlic clove
1 tbsp lemon juice
Handful of fresh coriander (cilantro), chopped – optional


Mix all the ingredients except the avocados.
Add the avocados but just gently fold them in so that there are still some chunks.
Season with salt, as needed.

Add to your favourite organic crackers or use as a spread on your toast in the morning. Add cucumber or tomato and make yourself a delicious sandwich.
